Prenovo je narekovala hitra rast Industrije pohištva Brest Cerknica. Fotografija iz leta 1966 je posneta z levega brega potoka Cerkniščice s pogledom proti omenjeni tovarni. Brestovi delavci dopoldanske izmene na poti domov.
Rapid growth by the Brest Cerknica Furniture Company dictated renovation of the town. This photo from 1966 was taken from the left bank of the Cerkniščica stream with a view of their factory in the background. Brest morning shift workers make their way home.
